The Volvo XC90 offers classic Volvo attributes in a midsize SUV. An IIHS Top Safety Pick for several years running, is safe, comfortable and practical. For 2012, Volvo has moved to a finishing line that includes Premier, Premier Plus and platinum ornaments. The V8 engine is no longer available.
The XC90 seats seven people. Passenger seats fold flat front and rear to provide additional cargo space. A second-row seat booster is standard equipment. The 240 horsepower 3.2-liter six is available with front-or all-wheel drive, coupled with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, allowing driver to select the change. When equipped for towing it can tow up to 5,000 pounds. Sirius Satellite Radio and Bluetooth are standard features. Safety features include electronic stability control, side-impact and side curtain airbags, Roll Stability Control, Blind Spot System Information, and all anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brake force distribution.
The 2012 XC90 is a carryover from 2011.
