2012 Infiniti M35 Hybrid

Infiniti has confirmed that its first production hybrid vehicle will be part of the recently announced line of 2011 Infiniti luxury performance sedan M, which is scheduled to go on sale in Spring 2010 at Infiniti dealers nationwide. The Infiniti M35 Hybrid is expected to reach about 12 months later as a 2012 model. It is Infiniti's first hybrid in its 20 years of existence, and the cleanest and most economical car in the history of Infiniti.

Realizing the high performance / emissions under the promise of the latest Infiniti Essence concept car, the hybrid M35 has been designed and manufactured not to add, remove, the driving experience, a key part of any appeal of Infiniti. The M35 hybrid M is based on completely new, which includes stylistic features of the Essence, the show-stopper that made its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in early 2009.

The M35 luxury hybrid maintains a profile of high-performance sedan, overlapping with the fuel economy and CO2 emissions of a smaller car, while driving offers a touch to satisfy any fan - with charismatic V6 and rear wheel management unit.

Infiniti hybrid system, developed exclusively within the Infiniti parent group, is a single motor / dual clutch arrangement. Innovative, the first clutch is installed between the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 and the electric motor. The result of this configuration, where all components act on a single propeller shaft to the rear differential is consistent driving feel in all conditions with linear performance and "direct response" to the engineers sought.

The electric motor acts as a propulsion unit, drive V6 in "power assist" mode when maximum acceleration is required, and also as a generator. Along with the battery in normal mode, the motor recovers energy otherwise lost during deceleration and braking.

The hybrid M also can function only in its electric motor in certain driving conditions, increased fuel efficiency and optimize energy use across the widest possible range of driving conditions. Details of the driving range, performance and transmission will be announced later.

As you would expect from Infiniti, several new technologies are introduced in the new M35 hybrid, with a "laminated" lithium-ion battery pack (Li-ion) which is the same size as conventional batteries, but offers twice the potency. Lamination enhances the cooling performance of the herd, while the temperature stability is further enhanced through the use of manganese positive electrode. A final result of this is the exceptional reliability of the battery.

The conventional hybrid joins M35 engine equipped 2011 M versions - including a new V6 diesel engine high performance in Western Europe - as the first lady who sold in all global markets Infiniti, currently 33 countries. All models of the new generation Infiniti M are on track to surpass its predecessors in fuel consumption and emissions - despite everything, the board performance improvements - thanks to a series of measures to improve efficiency.
